Pirate's Mask
The lights flash, everything seems perfect.
I expect some of your actions but I will be surprised.
Every time it is like this.

The great stage is set up for your presence.
Unlock the anticipation in our hearts;
Make us laugh with your antics.

Even if you do not stand out to the others,
To me the halo is almost overbearing,
Though you carry it with experience.

You are preoccupied with the scene and you do well.
Don’t pay attention to my wandering eyes.
I know they mean nothing to you.

As another scene cues in your suave form.
I delight again as your brash voice is heard
And inside I rise to my highest.

You demand the attention like a prince
And it is given in its highest form to you.
Secretly, I give you the most.

I am almost surprised as I relive the moments of the stage
And it feels as if I know you a little more,
Though a conversation will never be held between us.

You can never understand how you on the stage
Has made me think so highly of you,
And yet so lowly I expect.

The brilliant corona still doesn’t cease
Instead it has grown brighter,
Now that I’ve seen you pretend.

I just hope one day I can meet the person
Under the pirate’s mask and swank.
One day finally meet you.
