Ravon looked up at the doorway which now spilled bright, silvery moonlight onto her floor. Briefly, as she stood from her bed, she could see a complex net of stars dotting the sky and shining brighter than most nights. A soft and warm, alpine wind caressed her flimsy white nightgown which barely seemed to stay on her slight frame but she unconsciously moved the sleeve back onto her shoulder.
A huge form came into the doorway, its silohuette clouding the moon, cutting through the moonlight with the darkness of its shadow. Already she knew who it was and already anxiety flushed a wound inside her. Something must be really bothering him if he had to come to her in this form.
The form in the doorway crouched down, its back arching slightly but obvious it was comfortable going between a bipedial and quadropedial stance. It stepped purposefully forward, its canine eyes staying on Ravon, who came forward to meet him. He nearly stood again, but kept in mind the low ceiling and slumped so that Ravon could pass a hand over his pristine white muzzle. Their eyes became wide as they stared into each other's eyes and she briefly kissed wet black nose before falling into the giant werewolf's arms.
She felt the great warmth of him envelop her as his arms went around and embraced her tightly but gently for his strength could easily snap her skinny body in two. A passionate love succombed between them and she rubbed her cheek against the sleek fur on his chest. She had to close her eyes then and could imagine his human form clearly in her mind. Tall, the chocolate eyes, the splendid smile, the dark hair. She almost saw them together, in each other's arms like this. Ravon became conscious of a deep thrumming purr that came from his throat. She had a feeling that he was thinking the same thing.
They both looked back at the door as they heard shouts and gunshots back toward the village. He turned back at her, eyes wide and whined softly. At first she did not understand and she made a face as such. He looked back again and crouched to all fours, then turned to her and whined. She could see the terror in his eyes.
He motioned for her to climb his back but she paused. How could they know that he was here? She jumped when she heard another gunshot and the baying of hounds even closer, closer than she'd expected. She quickly climbed to his back and once she had taken a hold on his silver mane, he sped off through the door and into the night. Ravon had never ridden on his back before and it almost seemed to her that he was going faster than the average horse's gallop which she knew would be quite an aid if they were to escape the lycanthrope hunters.
He reached the forest line and soon they were swathed in darkness for in most parts the canopy of the trees were so thick that not even the subtle rays of moonlight could penetrate. They went on for awhile, the werewolf keeping at his same fast lope and Ravon finally relaxing, feeling that they would be safe.
A bullet struck one of the trees they flew past. Ravon looked behind her, pulling back her dark curls to see behind her where several outlines of men on horses were seen. A few dogs were running along, silent until a shout caused them to start baying again. How the hell had they followed us? She thought as she turned around. In the way he tensed under her, she knew that he knew how close they were.
He was trying hard to go faster as the gunshots began to ring again but it was tough footing in the part of the forest they were going through. He began to recognize part of it and ducked past and through some hidey holes and deer trails to try to lose them. But they were relentless.
The werewolf felt he had no choice. As he ran, he raised his muzzle and howled to full moon, whose silver disk could not be seen through thinning trees for just a brief moment. The baying dogs suddenly began to ferocious bark Ravon heard fear clutch their throats and several of the horses whinnied, also terrified. The werewolf began to feel rock under his feet amongst the packed dirt and pine needles of the forest floor and at the last moment, he jumped a wide creek and and sped to rocky slope where he suddenly stopped, catching his breath and looking behind him to find his hunters. Ravon clutched to his back, fear and the exilaration of the chase had caused her to be soaked with sweat, making her nightgown stick to her body.
For a moment the forest was silent and the summer breeze blew through and ruffled their hair as if to reassure them. They both relaxed at the same time. But they knew their troubles were not over yet.
The four horsemen came through the trees to the clearing that opened up to the spring. Several hounds whimpered as they clambered to the horses' heaving sides but became silent altogether as they stared up at the crouched wolf on the slope ahead of them. All was silent as they all stared back at one another, only harsh breathing could be heard.
The horsemen could see the werewolf, it now shining bright for the forest was open here the full moon could shine brightly on his pure white pelt. They saw Ravon on his back and they grimaced, causing their horses to shift in their agitation. The monster had taken their lord's son's love interest, and no doubt taken her hostage. They knew it was the last thing they must do to pay allegiance to their lord and his heir for they were more loyal than the loyalest hounds. They shuddered as the non-wolven but non-human eyes scan them. They assumed that this was some sort of nastier werewolf. No werewolf that they had ever seen was much taller than a man but this one was well taller than that and werewolves only possessed golden eyes, as they also do in their human form. But this one had brown eyes. No wonder they couldn't seem to find him in their own village.
They heard howling in the distance. The horsemen could see the two across the creek calm and still but they knew something was up as the howling became more persistent and closer. The numbers of the howls also increased. The dogs suddenly got up and they fled through the forest, back toward the village. Fear had consumed them and could only flee in terror at the sound of the abominations of the forest. The men steadied their horses but they began to froth and whites rimmed their eyes. Then one of them began to realize what was happening.
"It has called its kin!" One of the men suddenly shouted and just as he did, wolves sprang from the shadows to attack the four horsemen. Wolves. Masses and masses of wolves. And the werewolf and the girl could only sit and watch calmly as they spat and bared their teeth at the horsemen. Fear finally took a hold on their mind and thinking the wolves might attack, they let their horses bolt back toward the village. Indeed they were wrong for the wolves would not have attacked them for in the werewolf's call to them he had forbidden them to. They chased the horsemen and made sure they stayed that way before peeling off to do whatever they had been doing before the call had been sent.
The werewolf and Ravon too came off but this time he walked on all fours to a place that Ravon knew well. He had taken her to this clearing more than once, in all of his forms. It was quite wide, almost a glade than a clearing and in the distance the moon was low and barely past the tops of the trees. The werewolf sat down on a rock, facing away from the moon and looked into Ravon's eyes again. And again, they shared that loving affection. Ravon felt it well up inside her and she again kissed him on the nose. And she could see the edges of his lips sort of curl up. A wolven smile. She would do anything for him, to be with him. And he was exactly the same for her.
They embraced but as soon as they could not see each other's face, they frowned. They had been in a lot of danger back there and Ravon knew she would never be able to go back to the village because they knew about her. But at the moment it did not matter now. They were with each other. Safe at last.
Ravon (c) and her werewolf lover. I took a stab at background and it came out alright. Scanner, as always, ruins everything. I figured I'd write a little story about these two. The idea came to me in my daydreams (every day I go through stories like this in my head) and it intrigued me. I drew the outline of the two several months ago and never got around to finishing it until yesterday.
Thank you! I did that little story right on the spot of submitting it...it took forever to type lol. I couldnt think of the a name for the werewolf ...so I didnt put it in. But I think thats okay. And its something like...idk a "sketch story" so I wasnt really trying that hard to write it like I do all my other stuff lol. Im glad you enjoyed it since most of my friends refuse to read my stories even though they said they would!

Yeah...especially writing a 14 pager just makes you brain dead and not willing to write for several months...now I write little half pagers which arent bad but they arent the full...I cant call them masterpieces...but the stuff I really worked hard on.
I cant totally blame people though cause sometimes when someone asks you to read something of theirs and first start reading it and you go "bleh...Im really not going to enjoy this" and then skim through it as if you did. Im not selfish at all but I dont read anything unless it really is worth reading. Kinda get what I mean? And I especially get into my books and the only kind of book I have read since like 2nd grade is a reading level much higher than it should be.
